Hello Vienna Toastmasters!
I just received your newsletter, and I have to say that it made me so happy to see that the club is doing so well! For those of you who don’t know me, I was a member of the club as an American exchange student during the months of Fall 2004.
I am actually living in Frankfurt right now with my husband – we got married here last June. His name is Boris Aust, and he is German – some of you might remember him at the District Conference in Amsterdam 2005 – we met through Toastmasters while I was representing our Vienna club in Berlin at the District Conference in 2004! It just shows that you never know who you might meet through toastmasters…
I have also been living in Munich in the last year and completed a masters in Intellectual Property Law at the Max Planck Institute (patents, trademarks, and copyright law). I really enjoyed the city (it was much more similar to Vienna than Frankfurt!) and the Bavarian culture, and I feel so lucky to have been able to experience it first hand.
I would love to continue receiving newsletters and keep updated on all that you are doing. Unfortunately, we won’t make it to Vienna in November because we are moving to the US the weekend after and need to finish moving out of our apartment. We will be located near Eugene, Oregon as of mid-December. If any of you are in the neighborhood, please feel free to contact us. We would love to show you around.

Thanks very much for your comments and contacting us! We have been thinking about you many times in our club. We learned a lot from your excellent communications & leadership style while you stayed with our Club in Vienna.
It is great to hear that you are doing so well and we are all very proud of your achievements. Hope that you can make it to Vienna to the District Conference. Otherwise we might hire a bus/plane/jet and come to visit you in Oregon….
